Uncharted 3 multiplayer is now available as a free-to-play game on PSN, Naughty Dogs community strategist Eric Monacelli has announced.

“We’re thrilled to announce that tomorrow Uncharted 3 multiplayer goes free-to-play!” wrote Monacelli.

All free-to-play players will become a part of this same player pool of over a half a million active players every month.

The free-to-play game can be downloaded from the PS Store, and allows players to compete as much as they want, ranking up to level 15. At this point you can continue to play without making progress, but can choose to unlock the level cap for a fee.

Additional unlocks include co-op play, split-screen and map packs.
