When it’s released on November 2, the Uncharted 3 Explorer Edition will set you back approximately £105, according to a recent GameStop listing.
The Explorer Edition, which arrives in wooden presentation box, will apparently be produced to “premium quality” in an antique style. There’s no need to worry about finding space for the thing, either, because it’ll also hold up to 19 of your PlayStation 3 games.
Included in the package is a full-sized replica of Nathan Drake’s belt buckle, which you can wear to the local shops if you’re brave enough, a replica of Drake’s necklace strap featuring Sir Francis Drake’s ring, and a premium quality Nathan Drake figurine, striking the dramatic pose featured on the game’s packaging.
In addition to that, players will also receive a Special Edition game case, modelled on Drake’s journal, as well as a voucher to redeem add-ons and various bits of downloadable content.
Digital content is comprised of the London Drake Skin and Pirate AK-47 Weapon Mod for multiplayer; an UpperCut Taunt animation for increased bragging rights when playing online; a Cash Multiplier to earn cash faster than the competition; and a Special Edition Decals Pack to customise your avatar’s accessories.
The Explorer Edition also includes a code to download six additional booster rewards, skins and decals to give players a competitive edge when playing online, which we’ve listed below:
- ‘Callout Mod for AK-47’ Equip your AK-47 with a laser sight that enables your entire team to see the location of the opponent you are currently targeting
- ‘Clip Size Mod for Para-9’ Increase the size of the bullet clip for your Para-9 pistol and spend more time shooting your opponents before having to reload
- ‘Clip Size Mod for G-MAL’ Increase the size of the bullet clip for your G-MAL long gun and spend more time shooting your opponents before having to reload
- ‘Creepy Crawler Kickback’ Turn into a swarm of deadly creatures for a limited time and overwhelm your enemies
- ‘Carpet Bomb Kickback’ Send out three grenades with a single throw to blanket your opponent – or take out a group of opponents – with multiple explosions
- ‘Regeneration Booster’ Boost your healing power to recover from your wounds more quickly
Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is set for release on November 2, and from our hands-on preview with the E3 demo, we can confirm that it’s shaping up to be every bit as exceptional as its predecessor.
