Footage of an unannounced racer from defunct British studio Bizarre Creations has surfaced online.

The untitled project was revealed by the studio’s ex-art director Christopher Davie, who posted a video of the game’s prototype on his Tumblr.

“This was the final thing being worked on at Bizarre Creations when the company was closed down,” said Davie.

“We were using a whole new engine at this point that had been developed internally, it was really nice tech that we sadly never got to ship a game with.”

Footage of the game shows a track set in Dubai, following an Audi as it races through the city street and over the sides of buildings.

The game appears to merge elements from games like Trackmania and Split/Second.

“When we were told the project was being canned and that the studio was facing closer, I bloody mindedly decided to keep working on the art on this track, so much work had gone into the game already, it seemed a shame that nobody would get to play a finished track, even the dev team, so my goal was to get this Dubai track as close to final as I could before the lights went out for good.”

Head through to Chris’ Tumblr to take a look at the video.

Bizarre Creations was dissolved by owner Activision in February 2011. Its final game was arcade racer Blur. The studio had previously developed the Geometry Wars and Project Gotham Racing series, and James Bond title 007 Blood Stone.
