Need for Speed: Most Wanted holds onto the top spot for the second successive week, fighting off the likes of Pro Evolution Soccer 5, FIFA 06, Harry Potter and 50 Cent. It was also a big week for the Xbox 360 with 10 of its 15 launch titles making the All Formats Top 40.

Call of Duty 2 jumps up the chart to No.11 thanks to the Xbox 360 release, but despite its All Formats position, on the 360 it was outsold by Perfect Dark Zero at No. 12 (Xbox 360 No.1) and Project Gotham Racing 3 at No.16 (Xbox 360 No.2). King Kong moves up to No.8 and fellow movie tie-in Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe moves up to No.14. Narnia should jump further up the charts next week, with the film due for release on Friday.

The only non-Xbox 360 title to enter the charts this week is Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones which manages a disappointing No.29. Overall sales should pick up next week with the Xbox, GameCube and PC versions joining the PlayStation 2 version.

As 2006 approaches the drought of games is beginning to set in, but there are a few more titles we can look forward to. This week sees the release of Crazy Frog Racer (budget so it won’t appear in the full price charts, but it should be a firm favourite with the children), King Kong (PSP), Prince of Persia: Revelations (PSP), Championship Manager (PSP), Namco Museum Battle Collection (PSP), Burnout Legends (DS) and Battalion Wars (GCN).
