Chart Track reports that Nintendo’s Wii Fit has made it three weeks straight at the top of the All Formats All Prices video game chart. The game saw sales decline 17 per cent, but was still able to hold out against the ever present Call of Duty: World at War (down 11 per cent).
Wii Fit has now spent a total of seven weeks at the top of the chart, equalling Nintendo’s second best chart topper, Pokemon Gold. Nintendo’s current champ is Pokemon Yellow, which achieved 11 weeks at the top.
FIFA 09 is up nine per cent to No.3, Prof Layton climbs to No.4 thanks to a 54 per cent sales increase and Skate 2 falls to No.5. Mario Kart Wii is at No.6, Wii Play falls to No.7 and Ubisoft’s My Fitness Coach drops one place to No.8. Tomb Raider Underworld holds at No.9 and Need for Speed Undercover climbs three places to No.10.
There’s no place in the Top 40 for new releases SimAnimals (No.16 on Wii and No.20 on DS) nor CSI: New York and Saints Row 2 which place at No.6 and No.18 respectively in the PC Entertainment chart.
This Friday’s big release is Burnout: The Ultimate Box on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3, which thanks to a budget price should do well.
