Chart Track reports that Nintendo’s Wii Fit has returned to the top of the All Formats All Prices video game chart, equalling Pokemen Yellow as Nintendo’s longest serving All Formats No.1 with ten weeks at the top.
Capcom’s Resident Evil 5 slips to No.2 (sales down 38 per cent), while FIFA 09 climbs three places to No.3 (sales up three per cent). The week’s big mover is Midway/Ubisoft’s Wheelman, up seven places to No.4 thanks to a 41 per cent sales increase. Activision’s Call of Duty: World at War is also a climber, up two places to No.5.
Street Fighter IV slips to No.6, Professor Layton and the Curious Village is down to No.7, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is at No.8, Mario and Sonic finds itself at No.9 (69 weeks on the chart) and GTA: Chinatown Wars is at No.10.
The week’s only new entries are Wanted: Weapons of Fate at No.15 and WSC Real 09: World Snooker Championship which sneaks into the Top 40 at No.39 – the game is likely to pick up once the World Snooker Championship begins later this month.
EA’s The Godfather II is the coming week’s big release and, by virtue of there being very little else hitting stores, is in with a shot of challenging for the No.1 position.
