Square Enix’s next-gen reboot of Thief has crept straight to the top of this week’s charts, debuting at no.1 in the All Formats UK Top 40.

Thief managed to hold off both The LEGO Movie Videogame and FIFA 14 which take up the second and third spots respectively. Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare also debuts at no.4, pushing Call of Duty: Ghosts down to no.5.

Elsewhere in the charts, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 makes its not-so-grand entrance at no.10, JRPG remaster Tales of Symphonia: Chronicles debuts at no.13, and 3DS game Senran Kagura Burst limps in at no.38.

Last week’s new release Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, however, falls seven places to no.16, with GTA V finally falling out of the top 10, too, placing at no.11.

The big winner this week, though, appears to be LEGO, with eight LEGO titles spread across the entire Top 40.
