Ratchet and Clank, the sub £30 remake of the original game in the franchise, has entered the UK video game chart at No.1, reports Chart-Track.
Not only did the remake outsell the 2002 original’s launch week, but it also bettered 2009’s franchise leader A Crack in Time by a factor of three.
Dark Souls 3 drops into second place with sales dropping by a dramatic 80 per cent compared to launch week. Bandai’s Namco’s action epic is chased by EA’s Star Wars Battlefront which climbed nine places to third thanks to retailer price promotions tied to the home video release of The Force Awakens.
Also new to the Top 40 this week are Star Fox Zero at No.6, Rugby Challenge 3 at No.13 and UEFA Euro 2016 Pro Evolution Soccer (PS3/PS4) and No.23.
