Chart Track reports that Call of Duty: World at War has made it two weeks at the top of the All Formats All Prices video game chart. Despite a 51 per cent drop in sales, World at War still outsold FIFA 09 at No.2 by 2.5 to 1.
EA’s FIFA 09 continues to perform strongly, with sales up 28 per cent and is followed by Mario Kart Wii at No.3. EA’s Need for Speed Undercover is new at No.4 and records the lowest week one sales for a next-gen Need for Speed title.
Tomb Raider: Underworld is new at No.9, selling most on PS3, but only managed to outsell Anniversary by 6,700 units. Elsewhere in the Top 10 Wii Fit is up to No.5, Brain Training climbs to No.6, FM 2009 drops to No.7, PES 2009 climbs to No.8 and Wii Play is up to No.10.
Wii Music also had an improved second week, climbing from No.16 to No.12 thanks to a 67 per cent boost in sales. Valve’s Left 4 Dead is new at No.15 and last week’s record breaking Wrath of the Lich King drops fro No.2 to No.34 – sales down 91 per cent.
Gears of War 2 fell to No.14, LittleBigPlanet is down to No.24, Mirror’s Edge continues to struggle at No.28 and SingStar ABBA is new at No.39. There was no place inside the Top 40 for Microsoft’s Lips or Midway Games’ Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe.
Look out for new entries from Sony’s Resistance 2 and SEGA’s Sonic Unleashed next week.
