Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has made it three weeks straight at the top of the All Formats All Prices UK video game chart, an achievement which last year’s Black Ops failed to manage – the latter did have Sony’s Gran Turismo 5 to contend with.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations hangs on in second place, though suffers a 61 per cent drop in sales. Saints Row: The Third climbs one place to No.3 and switches places with Skyrim. FIFA 12 is a non-mover at No.5, but does boast a 22 per cent rise in sales week on week.

WWE 12 is the highest new entry at No.6 and managed a 22 per cent boost in sales over last year’s effort from publisher THQ. The game snuck in just ahead of Nintendo’s Professor Layton and the Spectre’s Call at No.7.

Moshi Monsters: Moshling Zoo managed a huge 85 per cent rise in sales over last week and climbed to No.12, while Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games saw a similar 82 per cent rise and now rests at No.14. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is, however, going the other way dropping badly from No.7 to No.19.

Lord of the Rings: War in the North is the only other new entry, but has made little impact at No.38.

The big shock for the week is Ubisoft’s Rayman: Origins, which failed to make the All Formats Top 40 – it managed only 28th in the Xbox Full Price chart and No.22 in the PS3 Full Price Chart.

There were other casualties too, with Zumba Fitness 2 failing to make the Top 40, whilst its predecessor charted much higher at No.18. The sequel will need a strong push from both advertising and retailers if it is to achieve anything close to the success of the first game.

The Wii is also home to the week’s final flop, Kirby’s Adventure, which could only manage No.25 in the Wii only chart.

Next week is a double whammy for 3DS with Mario Kart 7 and Super Pokemon Rumble sure to do well for Nintendo. Mario Kart has been a massive success on both DS and Wii so we’re predicting sales up their with 3DS leader The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. Super Pokemon Rumble could also debut inside the Top 20, which would be pretty decent at such a busy time of year.
