GfK ChartTrack reports that 2K’s Mafia II has held on to the UK All Formats All Prices video game chart for the third week, despite a strong second week for Ubisoft’s HAWX 2.
The Tom Clancy sequel was released last week only on Xbox 360 and charted at No.10, but second week sales which include the PS3 edition have sent the game shooting up the chart to No.2. Square Enix’s Kane & Lynch 2 drops one place to No.3.
Three new entries make the Top 10: Activision’s Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions does best at No.6, followed by Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep at No.7 and Ubisoft’s RUSE at No.8.
It’s a poor showing for Nintendo’s Metroid: Other M, which tumbled down the chart from last week’s new entry at No.12 to No.40. It was, however, better news for Tetris Party Deluxe which went the opposite direction, up from No.23 to No.5.
