LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures has managed to repeat the movie’s blockbuster success entering the UK Videogame chart at No.1.
Sales for the game are split quite evenly, although it’s the Wii version which won out with 27% of total sales. This compares to 22% on Xbox 360, 20% on PS2, 17% on PS3, 13% on DS and just 2% on PC.
The game outsold GTA 4 by 3-to-1 and knocked the record setting title down to No.2
Race Driver: GRID from Codemasters falls one place to No.3, but was only 3,000 units behind GTA 4. Ninja Gaiden II is new at No.6 (No.3 in the Xbox 360 chart) and there are also new entries for DBZ: Burst Limit at No.11 and Konami’s Sports Island at No.14.
The PC release of Mass Effect enters at No.2 on the PC chart and lifts the game to No.26 in the All Formats chart.
There’s only one game to look out for in next week’s chart and that’s Metal Gear Solid 4 on PS3. The game is expected to debut at No.1 and it will be interesting to see how the platform exclusive matches up to some of the Xbox 360’s blockbuster game launches.
