THQ and Kaos Studios’ Frontline has entered the All Formats All Prices video game chart at No.1, pushing Dragon Age II down one place to No.2.
Kaos’ first boxed release, Frontlines: Fuel of War, hit Xbox 360 and PC in week 9, 2008, managing to place at No.4. Homefront is an altogether more successful product, though, with the Xbox 360 version’s first week sales equating to around 82 per cent of what Frontlines on 360 achieved over three years.
Elsewhere, SEGA’s Shogun 2 is new at No.4, while Top Spin 4 just failed a Top 10 place at No.13 and Yakuza 4 starts its life at No.25.
The launch of Homefront also appears to have beaten some life out of EA and Epic’s Bulletstorm, which slips out of the Top 10 for the first time since its launch. FPS rival Killzone 3 manages to hold on inside the Top 10 at No.9.
Kirby’s Epic Yarn is also a big mover, up 10 places to No.17.
