Ubisoft is celebrating a third week at No.1 for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, becoming only the third game in 2012 to hold the top spot for three weeks or more – the previous two being FIFA 12 and FIFA Street.

Max Payne 3 sticks at No.2, but is almost dislodged by a buoyant FIFA 12, which saw a 48 per cent sales increase.

EA’s Battlefield 3 is also a big climber, up for places to No.4 thanks to a 42 per cent boost in sales. Sniper Elite V2 is also a climber, up 18 per cent to No.5.

Focus Home Interactive’s Game of Thrones is the week’s only new entry, charting at a higher than expected No.6.

Renewed stock for Diablo III sees Blizzard’s hit climb back into the Top 40 at No.22, whilst a retailer promotion for Wii Fit Plus sees Nintendo’s fitness hit surge back into the chart at No.31.

Lollipop Chainsaw, Gravity Rush and Heroes of Ruin are Friday’s new titles, but we can’t see any of these worrying the games sitting at the top of the chart. Lollipop chainsaw looks most likely to sneak into the Top 10, but game-starved PS Vita owners may have a thing to say about that if they snap up action title Gravity Rush.
