ChartTrack reports that EA’s FIFA 09 has made a late charge to claim the 2008 Christmas No.1 spot, ahead of Activision’s Call of Duty: World at War and Nintendo’s Mario Kart Wii.
FIFA 09’s Christmas No.1 is largely thanks to a retailer promotion which saw sales of the game rocket, with an 89 per cent increase over last week. This week’s No.2, CoD: World at War, could only manage a 13 per cent sales increase.
