GfK Chart Track reports that BioWare’s Dragon Age II has entered the All Formats All Prices video game chart at No.1.
The more action-orientated sequel claimed the top spot despite a mixed reception from critics, forcing Nintendo’s Pokemon titles down to No.2 and No.4. Fight Night Champion, however was able to hold on to its No.3 position.
THQ’s uDraw is the week’s surprise new entry, sneaking into the Top 10 at No.10. Peripheral-based Yoostar 2 wasn’t so successful, missing out on a Top 40 chart debut.

Dragon Age has a strong fan-base so it’s no surprise to see the sequel take the top spot, even if reviews were a mixed bag. The bigger surprise for us is the strong second-week showing of EA’s Fight Night Champion, able to maintain its spot in third.
This week’s big releases include THQ’s Homefront, Sony’s MotorStorm: Apocalypse and SEGA’s Shogun 2. Our money is on the multi-format Homefront coming out on top, thanks largely to the widespread appeal of the FPS genre. MotorStorm should secure a Top 5 place, while Shogun 2 should also debut safely inside the Top 10.
Top Spin 4 might struggle because of the lack of Tennis coverage in the media right now, while Yakuza 4 and MotoGP 10/11 are likely to join 2K Sports’ title in the Top 20.
