BioShock suffers a 39% drop in sales but is still able to hold onto the No.1 position, fighting off strong competition from Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08. EA’s multi-format golf title records 42% of sales on Xbox 360 and 32% on the Wii.

Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree shoots back into the Top Ten and nestles at No.6 thanks to renewed stock, while Ubisoft’s GRAW 2 is also a climber from No.10 to No.7. THQ’s Stuntman: Ignition is the week’s second highest new entry at No.9 and is followed by Medieval II: Total War – Kingdoms and Guild Wars: Eye of the North at No.16 and No.18 respectively.

EA’s Boogie debuts at a disappointing No.28 and the American Sports juggernaut that is Madden NHL 08 enters the Top 40 on the second week of release at No.27. THQ’s Worms: Open Warfare 2 is also a new entry, just finding a spot in the Top 40 at No.38.

The chart should see a bit of shake up next week, with EA’s Medal of Honor: Airborne likely to challenge at the top. Also looking for strong chart positions are SEGA’s Alien Syndrome, Blazing Angels: Secret Missions of World War II, Rogue Galaxy, Two Worlds and The Sims 2 Bon Voyage Expansion Pack.
