The game brings an all new insight to the story of Aftershock from the point of view of the lonely human inhabitants on Mars. The game promises to feature a large number of new technologies, weapons and equipment to develop, with completely new environments on a planet different to Earth.

ALTAR is also promising a more advanced tactical portion of the game, together with stronger RPG elements and a complex training system. The team at ALTAR includes many members of the development team that worked on UFO: Aftermath and UFO: Aftershock, so the series should be in safe hands.
