Speaking to 1UP at the Tokyo Game Show last week, Team ICO leader Fumito Ueda revealed that he would like to see both ICO and Shadow of the Colossus released on other platforms.

Asked if we might see ICO and Shadow of the Colossus released for PS3 in a combo pack similar to that of the God of War Collection, Ueda said he’s very much in favour of the games being available on PS3 and PSP.

“Initially, I didn’t want to consider that,” said Ueda. “I always thought they were designed for PS2 and should stay there. But lately, I’ve been thinking it would be nice to provide the games to other platforms to reach more users.”

Much in the same way that the God of War Collection will help to build anticipation for God of War III, an ICO/Shadow of the Colossus bundle could provide the ideal platform from which to launch The Last Guardian.
