Wildlands, the documentary about the South American drug trade made as a companion piece to Ghost Recon: Wildlands, has had its release date pushed back. It was supposed to launch on March 6, but just sort of… didn’t.

Approached for comment, an Ubisoft spokesperson said, ‘The global release date of Wildlands, the companion documentary to Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, has been delayed from its original launch date due to final post-production additions. Wildlands is still scheduled to broadcast in 2017 and the revised release date will be announced in the coming weeks.’

We saw Wildlands at a London screening earlier this year and it seemed, at the time, pretty complete. It was also rather good, so it’ll be interesting to see what changes the post-production additions make, and how substantial they are. Given the subject of the documentary the potential causes for the delay range from ‘mundane’ to ‘could happen in a Netflix Original Series’.Â
