Last week Ubisoft filed a trademark registration for “Driver: The Recruit”. This is the first we’ve heard on the long-running action series since a BBC report back in June 2008 seemingly confirmed the development of a new Driver game.
The most recent game in the series, Driver: Parallel Lines, was released by Ubisoft for Wii and PC back in 2007. Versions for Xbox and PS2 had earlier been released by Atari.
There’s no further info to pass on right now. We’ve contacted Ubisoft for comment and will let you know if we hear anything further.
