Ubisoft is to release more information on a new Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 Assassin’s Creed title “soon”, CEO Yves Guillemot has said.

Speaking during tonight’s Q1 investor call, Guillemot refused to be drawn into detailing the new title, but said: “We’ve said that we were going to release more info soon on that and, erm, it will come soon.”

Ubisoft has yet to announce a new Assassin’s Creed title for last-gen consoles despite ongoing rumours that it plans to launch a title codenamed Assassin’s Creed Comet later this year.

Could Ubisoft have plans to announce it during next month’s Gamescom?

Assassin’s Creed Unity, a next-gen/PC exclusive, launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC this October.
