Obviously keen to appeal to the cool kids, Ubisoft has announced Flow: Urban Dance Uprising for the PlayStation 2. Developed by Artificial Mind and Movement, the game will feature “classic breakdancing gameplay” and a hip hop soundtrack including 50 tracks from artists such as Sugar Hill Gang, Kurtis Blow, and Eric B & Rakim.

Ubisoft is excited to bring the first hip hop dance experience to the Playstation 2,” said Jay Cohen, vice president of publishing at Ubisoft. “Flow: Urban Dance Uprising’s infectious hip-hop soundtrack, authentic b-boy moves and rich 3D environments will make it one of the most exciting dance games to play.”

How the game controls isn’t known, and the level of EyeToy support isn’t clear, but with 100 breakdancing challenges, three different party modes to play, 10 characters and 10 urban environments, Flow looks like it could be every breakdancing fan’s dream game.
