A particular female NPC in Watch Dogs 2 will soon be patched to cover up her explicit vagina, Ubisoft has confirmed to Kotaku.

This NPC was discovered to be wearing particularly revealing underwear when NeoGAF user Goron2000 “accidentally” blew her up with a gas pipe. Inspecting the scene he noticed that Ubisoft had “rendered a full vagina”. Naturally Goron2000 then used the PS4’s sharing function to post a snap of the private parts to Twitter.

Sony took issue with the image breaking its Code of Conduct and handed out a temporary ban to Goron2000. Sony yesterday withdrew the ban.

Ubisoft then decided to take action regarding what it called a model “rendered in a way that is particularly explicit”.

“While Watch Dogs 2 is a mature-rated game, we apologise and will update this NPC model to make it more consistent with other NPC models in the game in a patch to be released this week,” reads a statement given to Kotaku. “We also are working with our first-party partners to ensure that players can continue to play and share all content from the game within the bounds of the first parties’ respective codes of conduct.”

The publisher later added that it would only be “patching the one female NPC,” indicating that other genitalia in the game will remain there for all players to see and share.

Watch Dogs 2 launched yesterday to pretty positive reviews, though lag problems have forced Ubisoft to hold back the seamless multiplayer mode until a patch is released.
