On Facebook, Ubisoft has teased something that will please those who fell in love with Rook Island in Far Cry 3.

An image of an island and very piratey-looking skull has been posted on the publisher’s Facebook page with the caption ‘Une île que l’on n’a jamais vraiment quittée,’ which loosely translates to ‘An island we never really left.’

Fans think this is something Far Cry 3-related, and with the popularity of the Vaas Montenegro character, as well as the success Michael Mando has found with Better Call Saul, that isn’t a bad shout. Ubisoft hasn’t set a precedent for making sequels to Far Cry game, however, but there’s a first time for everything.

This could turn out to be the company gauging interest in a new Far Cry game set in the universe inhabited by Jason Brody and Citra, or maybe a tease for a remaster.

In the meantime, why not watch Vaas torture Fogell in real life.
