Developed by Ubisoft’s Barcelona studio, Cosmic Family is described as an “exciting space adventure geared towards young children.” Using the Wii-mote, players will embark on an interactive tour of the Cosmic Family’s rocket ship.

Cosmic Family is a great title for young Wii players and their families, with simple point-and-click controls that will be easy to learn and provide the freedom to navigate wherever players choose to go,” said John Parkes, EMEA Marketing Director at Ubisoft, “Families will enjoy playing this game together, as it unfolds more like an interactive adventure than a traditional video game.

The Cosmic Family consists of Mum and Dad Cosmic, Big Sister, two small children, an aloof dog, a lazy cat, and lots of monsters. Young players will be able to take part in 15 early-learning mini-games found throughout the rocket’s five floors: fly a rocket into space, discover what’s hiding behind the stars, create and colour pictures, customise rooms, brush a monster’s teeth and more.

Each game has been designed to improve children’s memory, hand-eye coordination, creativity and imagination. Cosmic Family is pencilled in for blast off later this year.
