Ubisoft and EuropaCorp have announce they have signed an exclusive worldwide licensing agreement for the development, publishing and distribution of video games based on EuropaCorp’s upcoming Arthur and the Minimoys sequels.
Arthur and the Revenge of Maltazard will be available in conjunction with the launch of the motion picture in holiday 2009, with Arthur and the Two Worlds War set for release a year later also in conjunction with the movie.
Arthur and the Minimoys, a creation of film director Luc Besson (Leon, Fifth Element) was released in December 2006 and has grossed $120 million worldwide at the box office. The movie and video game were released in English speaking countries as Arthur and the Invisibles.
