Ubisoft has this afternoon responded to pro snowboarder Shaun White’s apparent confirmation that a second Shaun White Snowboarding title is in the works.

In a Reuters article published yesterday, White was quoted as saying he’s already started work on the sequel, comments that have been taken as an inadvertent confirmation of the game’s existence.

He said: “Now that I have the knowledge and I can speak to programmers better and I understand a lot more about what’s possible and what’s not possible, this will all help with the next game.”

However, when contacted by VideoGamer.com this afternoon, a spokesperson for Ubisoft said: “We have not announced any plans for future projects with Shaun.”

While true, this is by no means a denial that a follow-up to the snowboarding game isn’t being worked on.

Shaun White Snowboarding wasn’t much cop on the Xbox 360 and PS3, but it was great fun on the Nintendo Wii, making good use of the Wii Balance Board and Wii Remote motion sensing controls.
