US gamers who have already got hold of Ubisoft’s stealth action game Splinter Cell Conviction had been reporting a potentially game breaking problem. When connected to Xbox LIVE the game would freeze as they entered the second level. While numerous work arounds had been discovered, Ubisoft has now released a fix on Xbox LIVE.

A Ubisoft representative told Kotaku: “The issue has been resolved, you should now be able to play without further problems. You can download the update now and be able to play the game without it freezing or needing to be unplugged from Xbox LIVE.”

With the fix now available UK gamers shouldn’t have any trouble playing the game when it’s released on Xbox 360 this Friday. Check out our review here.
