Ubisoft has advised players to restart the private beta client for Tom Clancy's The Division 2 every two-three hours to avoid it crashing to a halt.
Every beta has teething problems, that much is obvious. However, Ubisoft has gotten pretty specific in The Division 2's case, outlining two major hiccups that could rear their heads.
'We are aware of an issue where your game client will crash after an extended gameplay session,' said the publisher. 'To circumvent this, we recommend that you restart your game client every two to three hours.
'Secondly, on all platforms, if you are outside the game and receive a game invite from a friend within the game, your client will crash at launch. To work around this problem, make sure to start the game first and join group directly from inside the game.'
The Division 2 kicks off its private beta today and runs until February 11. The taster will let you sample a bunch of content including missions, Skirmish mode, and the Dark Zone, while the endgame-focused Invaded Mission will launch tomorrow morning.
Ubisoft issued an apology last week regarding a poorly-worded email mentioning the US government shutdown.
