Mortal Kombat X’s E3 reveal will not only give us a first look at how the game is shaping up, but will also confirm two new characters, franchise creator Ed Boon has said.

“RT @Y21__ @noobde are we going to see new fighters in the MK X? EB: YES! Two of my new favourites will be at E3 !!”

MP1ST has suggested NetherRealm may turn to previously worked on characters – Belokk, Hornbuckle and Tremor – as it has done previously by turning Ermac, Rain, and Skarlett into playable fighters.

Mortal Kombat X claims to offer a new fully-connected experience that launches players into a persistent online contest where every fight matters in a global battle for supremacy. Players will have the ability to choose from multiple variations of each character impacting both strategy and fighting style.

The game launches in 2015 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC.
