Frozenbyte has announced that Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince will launch on PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One next year.
The studio revealed it has been listening to fan feedback on the series, presumably following the disappointing Trine 3, which wasn't exactly a high point for the franchise.
'Trine 4 is going to be the best in the series,' commented Frozenbyte CEO, Lauri Hyvärinen. 'We have rekindled our love for the franchise, heard and seen the fan feedback, and our hearts are set on exceeding those expectations. Trine is back!'
The Trine series launched back in 2009 and has to date sold over eight million copies worldwide. We were pretty fond of the original game, so it's probably worth revisiting if you haven't had a crack at it yet.
Trine 4 has yet to attract a concrete release date, but will be published by Modus Games.
