New Transformers movies will release in June of 2017, 2018 and 2019, Paramount has announced.
Transformers 5 will open in cinemas on June 23, 2017, which is the same date that Warner Bros. is currently holding for Wonder Woman – the superhero’s first standalone movie following her introduction in Batman v Superman next month.
The sixth Transformers movie is going up against monster sequel Godzilla 2 on June 8, 2018, while Transformers 7 will arrive June 28, 2019 and is the first film staking claim for the date.
Back in January Michael Bay confirmed he will be directing the fifth movie, with Mark Wahlberg to reprise his role from Age of Extinction.
It’s no surprise to see Paramount so keen to knock out sequels, with the four live action films to date grossing $3.7 billion combined at the global box office.
