Laid back life sim The Garden Path has closed a successful Kickstarter campaign, meaning the game is now set to launch on Nintendo Switch and PC later this year.

Billed as a “slice-of-life sim” about the joy of gardening, the Kickstarter page originally set out to get £20,000 of funding. However, thanks to 1097 fans, it closed at a whopping £30,474 after just 24 days following the campaign’s launch. The stretch goals also mean the game will get multiplayer support too.

The game promises that you’ll be able to play it “how and when you wish” with stories, activities and distractions all to be taken in at your own pace. Time in the garden passes along with the real world, and also brings about seasons with different weather. The change of seasons will also bring about new missions and activities from inhabitants that will come and go. Similar to Animal Crossing, you’ll also be able to convince some visitors to make a permanent home on your garden.

You can check out a trailer for the game below. Currently, there’s no exact release date for the game just yet but The Garden Path hopes to launch on Nintendo Switch and PC later this year.
