In this side-scrolling RPG, you assume the role of an Ace, one of the stalwart protectors of the Belfry. You can travel outside of the settlement’s walls as a sole adventurer, or have up to three friends join you on your quest.
When does Towerborne come out?
The game doesn’t have an official release date yet but it will go into Early Access via Steam on September 10, 2024. There is currently no time frame on how long Early Access for the RPG will last. Also, keep in mind that a full wipe will take place upon the game’s official launch.
In this early build of the game, you can expect about 30 to 60 hours of gameplay. That includes four playable classes, four Danger Levels to play through, hundreds of missions, plus a variety of Aspects, weapons, and gear to make your character stand out.
How to get into Early Access
Towerborne will be free-to-play once its official release date rolls around but that isn’t the case for Early Access. To get your hands on the early build, you’ll need to purchase one of two Founder’s Packs on Steam. Here’s a look at what each pack has to offer.

This game is being made by Stoic, the developer who brought us the well-received tactical RPG, Banner Saga. So, we can expect the same level of quality and dedication for this side-scrolling adventure.
