THQ has today announced Construction Combat: Lock’s Quest, a new action adventure title from 5th Cell, the creators of Drawn to Life.

In development exclusively for Nintendo DS, Construction Combat sees players take on the role of Lock, an Archineer (part architect, part engineer), who uses his skills to build new structures to protect his homeland against a robotic invasion.

Using different materials such as stone, metal or wood, players will need to create and design defence towers in the battlefield. They’ll also be a range of quirky weapons with which to attack the invaders, including quicksand traps and glue cannons.

In addition to the game’s single-player game, Construction Combat will feature multiplayer battles through multi-card play or Wi-Fi.

Construction Combat: Lock’s Quest is scheduled for release this autumn.
