The era of digital distribution is well and truly upon us, and SEGA, realising that fact, is enticing gamers to opt for the digital distribution option by making its Rome: Total War – Alexander expansion available first over the internet.

The expansion will go on general sale from June 19, but will be available exclusively via digital download to registered Total War fans on June 16th from www.sega.com, www.totalwar.com, and www.sega-europe.com.

Alexander features more than 30 hours of gameplay and an all-new campaign map, spanning the general’s unification of Greece and his later conquest of the Persian Empire. The expansion’s six new historical battles can also be played online and over LAN in a brand new tournament mode.
