Top Spin 4, the latest iteration of the Top Spin tennis simulation video game franchise, will be released in the UK on March 18, 2K Sports has announced.
In addition, 2K Sports has confirmed the game will feature professional tennis athletes Rafael Nadal, Anna Ivanovic and Andy Murray on its cover.
For the first time in a decade Andre Agassi will also feature in an interactive entertainment experience.
The Top Spin 4 player roster also includes Bjorn Borg, Roger Federer, Jim Courier, Rafael Nadal, Boris Becker, Serena Williams, Patrick Rafter, Michael Chang, Dinara Safina, Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic, Ana Ivanovic, Ivan Lendel, Pete Sampras, Andy Roddick, James Blake, Caroline Wozniacki, Nikolay Davydenko, Gilles Simon, Bernard Tomic, Eugenie Bouchard, Stanislas Wawrinka, Vera Zvonareva, and Jelena Jankovic.
“It’s great to be included in Top Spin 4 with such a unique line up of tennis players, past and present,” said Andy Murray, British No.1 and World No.5 player. “It’s exciting that 2K Sports is giving gamers the chance to face off against different pros in realistic and detailed interactive matches.”
That’s a cracking line-up of playable pros, past and present, which is sure to appeal to current tennis fans and those which enjoyed the game in the ’80s and ’90s.
Andy Murray’s inclusion on the cover should also help ensure consumers respond warmly to the product on store shelves – providing he’s winning of course.
