Tony Hawk will be returning to consoles in 2015, the skateboarding star has revealed.
The new game is currently in development at Activision along with a new mobile title, although the studio behind it has yet to be confirmed.
Hawk suggests that the game may also see the series return to its Pro Skater roots, possibly doing away with the skateboard peripheral introduced by later games in the franchise.
“I’m currently working with Activision on a console game for 2015 (along with a new mobile game),” Hawk tweeted. “I think fans of THPS series will be hyped.”
The last core game in the series, Tony Hawk Shred, was widely criticised by fans for its motion-based gameplay when it went on sale back in 2010.
Activision has yet to formally announce the new game.
