SCi Entertainment, parent company of Eidos, has announced its decision to move the release date of four titles into the final quarter of calendar year 2008. The most significant of these titles being the highly anticipated Tomb Raider: Underworld.

The next instalment from Lara Croft will now launch on six platforms, with Wii, PS2 and DS joining Xbox 360, PS3 and PC for a simultaneous release during the Christmas period. The Board believes that the six-platform simultaneous release during the bumper period for video game sales will optimise the value of the franchise.

The identity of the three other delayed titles has not been revealed.
