Square Enix has released a stunning new gameplay trailer for Tomb Raider and announced a release date of March 5, 2013 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
The brutal trailer, which you can see for yourself below, opens with leading lady Lara Croft escaping from a voodooist cavern where’s she’s being held by a voodooist cult, before heading out into the wilderness to hunt down food for survival.
If you liked Naughty Dog’s Uncharted series, this should certainly be on your radar.
Earlier this week, Square Enix USA CEO Mike Fischer said that he wants Tomb Raider “to be the best game of the generation”.
Judging by the trailer, do you think it can reach such lofty expectations?
And if you can’t get enough Tomb Raider, be sure to tune into Microsoft’s E3 press conference next week. Crystal Dynamics has promised another “exclusive look” at the game during the conference on Monday evening.
