In development at Ubisoft’s Bucharest studio, Tom Clancy’s Air Combat is set in the near future and imagines a world where a private military force has accumulated such power that it attacks the USA.

Players will be thrust into the cockpits of powerful and technologically advanced jet fighters and will benefit from hi-tech piloting assistance providing comfort, security and enhanced precision. As the player gains more skills and confidence the piloting assistance can be disabled in order to gain maximum performance at the cost of extra security.

Ubisoft is also promising a deep multiplayer experience and hopes Tom Clancy’s Air Combat will “become the new benchmark for flight combat games“.

Tom Clancy’s Air Combat is scheduled for release in 2008.
