Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has announced that bizarre PSN title, Tokyo Jungle, will be released on the European PlayStation Store in 2011.

Previously only confirmed for release in Japan, Tokyo Jungle is set in a post apocalyptic Tokyo. The human race has been wiped out and wild animals rule the planet.

Players will choose an animal and must survive for as long as possible, running around the city in search of prey. Animal radar will help players detect targets and attack by surprise and, if things get bad for you during the battle, go for the vital organs to deliver a killing blow.

The Tokyo landscape spans thousands of HDTV screens, with the action scrolling from left to right.

This game looks so bad it might actually be good. Where else will you find a chihuahua taking on a lion, only to come face-to-face with a T-Rex.

Providing the price is right, Tokyo Jungle could well become a guilty pleasure for PS3 gamers in 2011.
