The Xbox 360 version of Titanfall includes an option to cap the frame rate at 30fps, reducing the fluctuation in framerate and providing a more consistent visual experience.

The option may also make for a more consistent controller response, but neither Respawn or Bluepoint have yet to discuss the exact benefits.

To turn on the cap, just head to the options and flick the 30Hz option to ‘Yes’. You’re also able to flick the option on and off mid-game.

Some owners, however, may prefer to keep the frame rate unlocked. At times, the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall appears to run significantly higher than 30fps, but leaving the frame rate uncapped can also lead to stuttering and screen tearing.

Titanfall launches on Xbox 360 this Friday, April 11.
