Titanfall will receive a Season Pass, Respawn boss Vince Zampella has confirmed to GameSpot, offering access to future DLC for a reduced one-off price.

The online shooter will receive also free content updates that introduce new features Respawn “didn’t get to ship in the final game”, including private matches.

“So we’ll add private matches and things like that for free,” said Zampella. “There will be some paid DLC. We’re going to do a season pass just because if you buy it up front, it’s a deal. We’re not going to do microtransactions. You just buy it up front, and you get a better price.”

Whether the Xbox 360 version will receive the same level of DLC support as the Xbox One and PC versions has yet to be confirmed, however. “We’ll have to sit down with EA and talk about that,” Zampella said. “My assumption is yes, but I don’t know if I’m the best person to speak for that.”

Confirmation of a Season Pass follows confusion from Respawn last week over the inclusion of an Online Pass.

The developer initially stated that the game would not receive a Season Pass, but later clarified its comments to state that the game wouldn’t require an Online Pass.

Additional details on the Season Pass have yet to be revealed.
