Time Crisis: Razing Storm will be released for PS3 on November 5, Sony has announced.

The latest instalment in the long-running light-gun franchise – it’s been 13 years since the first game brought arcade action to PlayStation gamers – is fully playable with PlayStation Move and features destructible environments.

The game also includes all new online play and two bonus titles: Deadstorm Pirates, in which you try to hold off monsters as you set sail in search of Poseidon’s breath, and the arcade version of Time Crisis 4.

Sony has also confirmed that a playable demo will be hitting PSN on October 27. The guncon controller is also fully compatible with the game.

Capcom’s Wii Resident Evil Chronicles series has proven that light-gun style games can work with motion controllers, but the Time Crisis series appeared to be running out of steam with the fourth instalment back in 2008.

Whether or not the franchise can find a new audience thanks to motion controls remains to be seen. An early November release finds Time Crisis competing against fellow Move title, The Fight, Activision’s James Bond games, God of War: Ghost of Sparta on PSP and only days later, Call of Duty: Black Ops and Kinect.
