THQ has announced an agreement to publish CD Projekt RED’s The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings for Xbox 360.
THQ, through its THQ Partners program, will market and distribute the anticipated title in Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.
The Xbox 360 game promises to be an enhanced adaptation of the PC game released in May. It will incorporate numerous improvements and enhancements, details of which will be announced in the coming months.
“Adapting The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Xbox 360 is a massive endeavour for us, and we’re committed to delivering one of the most complex and mature games ever to Xbox 360 players,” said CD Projekt RED studio head Adam Badowski. “We believe that with the marketing strength and distribution network of THQ we will be able to make the game an incredible success in Europe and around the world.”
Namco Bandi published the PC version. The Xbox 360 game is scheduled for release later this year.
