Disney and Pixar’s latest animation Cars is getting the videogame treatment. Developed at Rainbow Studios, the THQ game will be released to coincide with the movie release this summer. You get to play as all your favourite characters from the movie (you will have a favourite once you see it) and help Lightening McQueen win the coveted Piston Cup Championship.

The gameplay will be a blend of racing and adventure and will relive the key moments from the motion picture. More than ten playable characters will be featured, with more than fifty open world races. The game will also include the authentic voice talent from the movie which stars Owen Wilson, Paul Newman and Bonnie Hunt.

Cars will be released for Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube, PSP, DS, GBA and PC in the summer. Expect more information on Cars in the coming months.
