Yesterday it was announced that Disney’s Buena Vista Games is to acquire Climax Racing, the team behind the THQ published MotoGP series. With the developer jumping ship, it leaves the series’ future in question. A THQ rep told GameSpot: “We are evaluating the viability of the brand for us after next year.“
This fits with the views of Lazard Capital Markets analyst Colin Sebastian, who wrote in an investor’s note that he expects work on MotoGP 07 to be completed before THQ makes the decision on the series’ future.
