THQ has announced plans for the video game based on Disney Pixar’s Ratatouille. The game is in development across eleven platforms, which according to THQ is a new company record. Next summer, gamers will be able to pick up the game on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, PSP, Nintendo DS, GameCube, GBA, PC, Mac and wireless devices.

Disney Pixar films have consistently captivated audiences of all ages with their imaginative and memorable characters, visually stunning animation, and unparalleled story-telling,” said Kelly Flock, executive vice president of worldwide publishing, THQ. “THQ has shipped more than 25 million units of Disney Pixar video games to date, illustrating the success of our long-standing relationship and dedication to the Disney Pixar business.

In the game, players will take on the role of Remy, a young rat whose love for food puts him at odds with his family’s needs. Relive some of the film’s most memory moments and take part in a series of unique mini-games, cooking challenges and head-to-head multiplayer games. THQ’s Heavy Iron Studios is handling development of the game.

Ratatouille will be released in summer of 2007 to coincide with the release of the animated feature.
